HOLIDAY GIFT SHOPPING DAY TRIP

One of the most exciting parts about the holidays is holiday gift shopping! Finding the perfect gifts for family and loved ones has always been fun for me. It makes me so happy to see that grin on their face when they get an awesome gift.

The other day I took a day off from work to go to a Simon Premium Outlet and did my holiday gift shopping for my family in one day. As you can probably tell, I usually plan well in advance and can’t stand waiting to the last minute. The closest Simon Premium Outlet to me is Woodbury Common Premium Outlets located in Central Valley, New York, about one hour from Manhattan.

It’s been a while since my last visit to Woodbury and the new Market Hall is super convenient with complimentary wifi, plenty of cell phone charging stations and tons of dining options. All of these features make holiday shopping that much more enjoyable.

Next, let me share with you guys what I bought.

For my parents and Mr. SF’s parents, I felt as if they would love something useful and practical to wear during the winter, so a scarf, slippers and sweaters are really great options because they can wear them so often this winter. I also feel that they look great in bright colors, so I picked up these Polo Ralph Lauren slippers, sweater, tie and this Burberry scarf for my parents and Mr. SF’s parents. These slippers are so soft and comfy and the Burberry scarf is so classy: P

While I was walking around in J.Crew I realized that Mr. SF doesn’t have a slouchy pink shirt in his closet. It’s a great color and the material is best for casual weekends. It was also on sale, haha. So I had to get this one. 

I bought this cute little jacket for my nephew from Tommy Hilfiger. They have so many cute clothes for kids there. I can’t wait to see my nephew rocking this cool jacket. I bought a slightly bigger size for him because kids grow so fast. It’s always a good idea to buy a bit bigger for kids : P

I also picked up these red gloves from Coach for my cousin as I knew that she’d been looking for a pair. I’m sure she will love it.

Besides what I found in Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, J.Crew, Coach and Burberry, there are so many other stores like Michael Kors, Kate Spade New York, Under Armour, Nike, Vera Bradley and the North Face etc.

Most of the items I bought were on sale and some of them have an additional extra discount on top of the already discounted sale price.  Just a heads up, Woodbury has special Fall offerings from Nov 11th to Nov 24th. New hair, new skirt and new burgundy heels for the holidays. I have always had an affection toward the color burgundy since it feels and looks like a fine wine, a bit mature and ultra-feminine. The pony tail material and the metal heel make me obsess about this pair. The best part, though, is this pair is actually really easy and comfy to walk in. BTW, this pair is now ON SALE at $69.99. Here are two things I encourage you girls to try this holiday season to make your holiday outfit more fun.

1) Try a new color like burgundy. I’ve worn a lot of red and gold before. Putting on a new color during the holidays has been magical for me :P

2) Try a new hair style like a fish tail braid. Even if you are wearing the same outfit, your hair could change how you look and feel. It makes the same outfit look like a brand new one. My fish tail braid lasted a couple days and I really enjoyed it.

Mr. SF and I just got to San Francisco yesterday. I’m going to finish up some work here and then go through somethings for you gals. Then I’m off to more holiday parties this weekend. It’s officially 6 days until Xmas, loves! This weekend is the critical weekend for procrastinators since it’s your last chance to order Xmas gifts online and still have them delivered before Xmas. I wore this outfit to a holiday party last week. This velvet pencil skirt with the floral print and lace hem is just so feminine and pretty. I wanted to wear it with a crop top to make the look more fun for the holidays. It'll work too if you want to wear it with a sweater. The skirt is stylish yet very affordable (it's only $56). Grab it before Xmas and you will find it handy when you need to go to a last minute holiday party. I was so glad that I was able to catch up with some good friends that I haven't seen for a while at the holiday party. We started reminiscing about our old silly days and the fun times we’ve had together. Even, though, we haven't seen each other for such a long time and our lives have changed a lot, it still feels as if we are still the same toward each other. You girls know that I have two jobs that keep me super busy. There’s only 24 hours in each day and there’s only one me. The holiday party made me realize that I need to squeeze out more time to spend with friends and family no matter how busy I am. Happy holidays to my loves! I Started my new job at the end of Oct to take on a new challenge and embark on a new journey as a cloud storage engineer. How time flies! My vacation to Asia, which we planned a few months ago, is coming up in a few days. Mr. SF and I are going to Asia for the Thanksgiving holidays and our first stop will be Shanghai! With the trip back to Shanghai right around the corner, I realized how much I miss the city since it’s where I was born and grew up. My fondest memory about the holidays in Shanghai was that during the spring festival my mom would dress me up in red with a red coat, red sweater and red gloves. I was always wearing a few items with red accents. We would visit my grandparents, my uncles and aunties and I would get so many red envelopes. Red in my mind has always been associated with the holidays and other great emotions like love. In addition to all of that, red is such a beautiful color and I’m even more obsessed with it come the holidays. It cheers everyone up and in color theory red makes you look healthy and energetic even when you are sick. I strongly recommend that you girls add a nice red sweater to your holiday outfits. A NIGHT OUT IN SAN FRANCISCO

Hello from San Francisco, loves. One of the most important things here for Mr. SF and myself is having the chance to catch up with some close friends and family. I wanted something sleek, sexy and sophisticated and I knew I couldn’t go wrong with this little black dress. I wore it out on Sat night. It was indeed a good time filled with good laughs with good company and my new favorite dress, haha. I love the luxurious fabric and it feels so nice when your skin touches it. The sexy cutout and the feminine silhouette made me fall in love with it. The weather has been beautiful, but as any Bay Area resident knows the temperature drops a bit at night, but with this cardigan I paired it with, you’ll be just fine. The floppy hat and cardigan are the key items that make your dresses still so wearable well into the fall. It's a great time to add a few dresses to your wardrobe right now before the holiday season. My advice is to try not to get caught having to decide what to wear last minute :)
