If there is any type of outfit I have to wear everyday this fall it’s a cardigan and over the knee boots. This combo is just effortless chic.
My cardigan is on sale for only $26 and it’s really warm.
If you girls are looking for affordable OTK boots, I highly recommend you check out this identical pair for $169, which is also available in two other colors.
I have so many more things that I can’t wait to share with you girls this month. It’s the last quarter of 2015 and I know it’ll be an exciting quarter, especially with the holiday season not too far away from us! FriYay, babes : )
Actually, the look isn’t just for back to school, it’s perfect for work and you can go out like this too. This kind of look energizes me throughout the day at the office during the work week. I’m super excited to show you girls a few new-ins from this look.
I’ve been searching for a new backpack for a while now. The plaid one from Herschel Supply is just perfect for Fall. Besides the two pockets in the front, there’s also another side pocket with a zipper for easy access.
These Hush Puppies Cyra Catelyn boots are so soft and comfy. Wearing them is just like stepping on pillows, haha. The worry free suede is really easy to take care of. They come in so many different colors and are less than $100.
I’m also so obsessed with my layered sweater top with the shirting details. It has such a cute back, cuff and asymmetrical hem. Plus it’s only $74. I totally recommend this sweater to you girls if you are looking for sweaters for Fall.
Let’s go, Monday! Have an amazing beginning of another week:) XO
Not too long ago Nicole Scherzinger and Missguided collaborated once again to create the new Nicole X Missguided collection. This collection is full of cropped, cutout and black & sexy sports luxe and bold statement pieces. Out of the whole collection, the midi sequin skirt is my favorite piece. I knew I wanted a versatile piece, something that is good for both day and night. The sequin skirt is so simple, pretty and perfect dress for the holidays. Are you starting to plan your holiday outfit yet? :P You probably think sequin is more about a material than a night out. However, you girls know that fashion evolves everyday and that dressy items can be casual at the same time. So I ending up wearing it with this grey sweater layered with my grey tee for a nice day look. It's perfectly fine to wear sequin in the day and it feels more stylish than ever.
TGIF, my loves! Just wanted to also mention to you girls that Nordstrom has a clearance sale going on until Nov11th. I really love this and that boots. They are perfect for the fall and winter. It's also a good idea to lock up some holiday gifts for yourself or your significant other like these cuff links and belt. Another great sale that is going on right now is 20% off friends and family at Sephora. I bought so many things from Sephora this season since it's the best time to buy from Sephora. It's also the best time to stock up on beauty products for next year and for purchasing holiday gifts for yourself :P I have a few other strong recommendations for you girls. Make sure you check them out. Use VIB code GIFTVIB to get 20% and for VIBRouge customers, use code GIFTROUGE to get 20% off all items. Happy shopping and have a great weekend :) XO
Saturday night was Mr. SF's birthday and we celebrated at one of his favorite restaurants in the city. It was a special day for him and also for me. I was super excited and I wanted to pick out something special, elegant and pretty for that night. Do you guys remember my Jay Godfrey dress I wore in SF? Both that dress and this one have luxurious fabrics and flattering silhouettes. Compared to that LBD, this dress is more sophisticated because of the details like the faux leather front, the pleated side, and the wrap skirt with a cutout hem. We had a fantastic time that night and I’ll always remember this birthday when I wear this beautiful dress out in the future. Happy birthday to my love and I’m looking forward to another wonderful year together. What would you wear to celebrate your significant other's birthday? :)XO
The blanket scarf is one of the most popular items for the fall because it's so stylish and warm. It has totally inspired me to write this three-in-one post for you girls :)
Wrap It
Wrapping it around your neck is the most common way to wear it. It covers your entire neck and keeps you super warm.
Poncho It
Just use a few safety pins and the poncho can be easily created.
Belt It
Actually this is my favorite and in my opinion the most stylish way to wear the blanket scarf. I folded the scarf over twice, put it around my neck and put a belt on my waist to secure it. It was inspired by a few street style pics I saw from Paris Fashion Week this year. I love love love it. I wore this outfit during my visit to SF last week. Besides wearing the blanket scarf over the blazer, you girls can wear all three different styles over jackets and coats. I've definitely been living in my blanket scarf these days :)
Last but not least, don't miss out on the Gap sale that ends today and also the Piperlime shoe sale that ends tomorrow. My pumps are going for only $67 using the code FANCYFEET. Yesterday, I bought another pair since I figured that the holiday season was right around the corner and I’ll be able to wear them out to a few holiday parties. Thank you so much for reading. Have an amazing Monday! :) XO
New Jeans Just In: The Stilt – 17 Years Riot from AG. You girls probably already saw this pair on my Instagram. I'm madly in love with cropped skinny jeans and the blue is the perfect blue color that I was looking for. The heavily distressed knees are just so cool. Because of my love for the jeans, I want them to always look so blue and fit me perfectly. They are an essential to create an effortless casual weekend look.
When I was growing up, my mom always told me that new clothes needed to be washed before you could wear them. I still remember my jeans changing after washes, where they became loose, the fit wasn't as good anymore and the blue denim lost its vivid pigment of indigo blue. I never really cared that much because jeans would come and go plus the jeans I wore when I was growing up were not expensive. Until I moved to New York many years ago, I had never owned a pair of premium denim. My first pair was a pair of J Brand jeans. I remember how expensive they were for me back then, but they made me look into how to protect my jeans after I washed them. Today let's talk about how to wash your jeans to ensure they last longer, loves!
-Wash them less frequently
It's totally fine to wash your jeans less frequently and wear them at least a few times before you wash them for the first time. I read somewhere earlier this year that Levi's CEO revealed that he hasn't washed his jeans in more than a year, haha. I'm not too sure about going down this extreme of waiting more than a year, though. You can rotate between a few different pairs of jeans to avoid not wearing the same pair too often. It's really important to not wash them so often so that they'll maintain that perfect color. If they’re really dirty, you can just wash that dirty spot. I normally wash my jeans after wearing them about 5 times.
-Wash them inside out
-Try not to machine wash them
Instead hand wash them with cold water. Also air drying is always best. You should definitely read the tag before your first wash. Every pair of jeans has different requirements. Even if machine washing them might be ok for certain jeans, the general rule is to not put them into the washing machine. When I'm really busy, I’ll actually throw them into the washer, but I select delicates and I separate the jeans from my other clothes. Then I normally just lay them down flat to air dry them.
-Freeze your jeans overnight
Some people have said that if you keep your jeans in the freezer overnight it'll kill all the bacteria. They also say that it makes your pair of jeans feel real clean, so that you can wear comfortably after freezing them. Their recommendation is to freeze your jeans about once a month. However, I have to admit that I’ve never tried this before. Have you girls ever done this?
How often do you wash your jeans? How do you wash them? :) XO
