On my trip to Shanghai, this khaki parka was the only heavy outerwear item that I brought. I figured that by pairing it with different things, I would be able to pack fewer items for my trip. Do you girls remember when I mentioned in a previous post that the biggest challenge during a New York winter is to keep warm and still look stylish? This parka definitely keeps me warm and has been a great addition to my winter wardrobe. Today, I want to share with you girls the three ways I wore it in Shanghai.

-Fun Parka

A casual look playing with colors, like this blue denim and these red kicks

-Cool Parka

Leather moto pants with a side zipper and leather boots create a cool look. Details like the leather gloves and the cap just make it even cooler.

-Cute Parka

Wear the parka with a dress and over the knee boots. It's more girly compared to the other two looks. BTW, girls, these boots are awesome, incredibly stylish and ON SALE. They are identical to the 5050 boots, but the price is way more affordable.

I got this 3.1 Phillip Lim knit pullover in black ON SALE (almost 75% off) before my Hong Kong trip. It's just like a vest and can be easily layered with a skirt, tee or well fitted sweater depending on the weather. The filament detail makes it unique and stylish. Nothing can beat a stylish buy at a great price. I love this pullover so much since it epitomizes traveling in style. That day we went up to the Peak in Hong Kong, the view was breathtaking and the pictures really can’t do it justice.

I have a faux fur coat, but this striped faux fur one is the first in my wardrobe. I knew I wanted a coat in this style when I saw DKNY's NYFW fall/winter runway show. I was totally in love with it. I loved the look, but I knew that I could always find great alternatives like this striped faux fur coat from ASOS. It feels so soft and warm. Wear it with black or white since monochromatic looks are never a bad idea. Whites, a floppy hat and a white slip on are my favorite pieces to wear it with. I also saw a few other brands with a similar mono striped faux fur coat, so definitely take a look at those as well. Do you think you gals will be rocking this trench this winter?

The temperature dropped into the 30s here in New York City the past few days. The cold weather

brings up a big challenge to look stylish but keep warm at the same time. I couldn't be happier with this biker jacket because the fleece inside is so cozy and warm. I love this oversized and cool look. It feels like I can just wear anything and put the biker jacket on to go out. How time flies! My vacation to Asia, which we planned a few months ago, is coming up in a few days. Mr. SF and I are going to Asia for the Thanksgiving holidays and our first stop will be Shanghai! With the trip back to Shanghai right around the corner, I realized how much I miss the city since it’s where I was born and grew up. My fondest memory about the holidays in Shanghai was that during the spring festival my mom would dress me up in red with a red coat, red sweater and red gloves. I was always wearing a few items with red accents. We would visit my grandparents, my uncles and aunties and I would get so many red envelopes. Red in my mind has always been associated with the holidays and other great emotions like love. In addition to all of that, red is such a beautiful color and I’m even more obsessed with it come the holidays. It cheers everyone up and in color theory red makes you look healthy and energetic even when you are sick. I strongly recommend that you girls add a nice red sweater to your holiday outfits.  One of the most memorable things I saw during this past Spring Summer 2015 NYFW was the slit. If you girls still remember the runway photos I posted on my Facebook page and Instagram, designers came up with different maxi and dresses with the slit that were super sleek and sexy. I'm so in love with this long sweater with the side slit. It was love at first sight indeed. How do you make a long sweater with a side slit look more stylish? Two key points: (1) wear the sweater with a shirt underneath to make the whole look more sophisticated (small style detail: try taking the sleeve of your shirt and make a cuff over the sleeve of the sweater), (2) wear it with flare jeans or pants. This is also one of my favorite silhouettes. It creates a smaller waist and elongates your legs. Couldn't be happier with this outfit. You girls should give it a try to see if you like it while looking taller at the same time, haha! Happy Wednesday, my loves! XO

今年早些时候纽约时装周让我最印象深刻的就是开叉。如果你们还记得我在Facebook和Instagram上分享的照片，很多设计师都展示了明年春夏的开叉设计。所以我看到这件开叉毛衣就爱到不行，绝对是一见钟情。旁边开叉的长毛衣要怎么穿才有型呢？最关键的两点：1）毛衣里面搭配衬衫让整体更成熟和时尚，记得要把袖口翻过来。2）和喇叭裤搭配。我很爱这种形。让你的腰看上去很小，腿很长。没法比这种搭配更让我高兴的了。你们也试试看会不会腿长些，哈哈！好拉，祝你们星期三快乐！爱你们!
