Ever since Balmain came out with their "Jungle" collection (Last photo via Oliver Rousteing's instagram. Madly in love with these), I haven’t been able to get the olive color out of my mind. The olive colored structured dress, cargo pants and utilitarian jackets in leather and silky material are so memorable. The olive trench is not so much military style, but the color was exactly what I was looking for. It's such a wearable piece that has a structured top and a flowy bottom, which makes it both work and weekend appropriate. The flowy bottom feels so feminine. Feel free to pair it with a skirt or denim, both would be a great choice. I was wearing the jacket with a long tee this past weekend. Unfortunately, Labor Day is here and it’s the unofficial end of summer. Don’t fret, though, because this jacket will be great for Fall.

Loves, Fashion Week is finally here! Are you guys ready to NYFW with me? Stay in touch with the latest on my Instagram @shallwesasa. Thank you so much for reading and have an amazing Labor Day!

COBALT BLUE STEEL

Happy Thursday, my dears! I hope you stayed warm and survived the brutally cold weather that swept across the country. What made my week go by a little faster than usual is the fact that it’s my birthday tomorrow and I’m super excited and a wee bit giddy.

The unforgiving cold here in New York made me miss the sunny weather in San Francisco over the holidays. Today's outfit features a coat I wore in San Francisco right after Xmas. I’ve always loved cobalt blue and I have a number of cobalt blue items in my wardrobe from sweaters to dresses, but I’ve never owned a cobalt blue coat. I honestly felt as if a coat in this color was missing from my closet. When I first saw the coat the other day, I knew immediately that this was what I'd been looking for. It brightened up my entire outfit and matched perfectly with my cobalt blue boots :) Thank you so much for reading and have an amazing Thursday :) XOXO
