ALEXANDER THE GREAT

Yes, you probably already figured out that I'm actually referring to Mr. Wang here. I’ve loved Alexander Wang for such a long long time and this is my first official Wang bag. So you can imagine how excited I am about getting this bag. I've been “monitoring” this bag for a few months now. I had to get it because I just love the structure, quality and size. Hopefully, you guys found something you love too while shopping for the holidays :) There’s really nothing better than finding something you love at an incredible price. It’s a great way to reward yourself after a whole year of hard work.

Alexander Wang is definitely one of my favorites because of his super simple and chic design. I remember he once said, “anyone can get dressed up and glamorous, but it is how people dress in their days off that are the most intriguing”. I can see how this quote connects with his style, which is fairly easy for me to spot since the Wang design is so distinctively Wang. His career also motivates me because he built his empire at such a young age.

I love long vests/sleeveless coats. It’s a key item in my wardrobe that is totally me. Do you remember that I wore something similar this past summer with a skirt like [here]. In today's post I wore track pants with this long vest. I love how they look together, definitely intriguing for an off-duty look. Thank you so much for reading and for your support as always. XOXO

SORBET OKAY

Hi loves! Happy Thirsty Thursday! Hope all of you bundle up and stay warm in this chilly weather. Some of you inquired about the hair dryer I bought recently to see if it's any good or what's so special about it. Personally, I'm pretty good with the flat and curly iron most of time, so I usually do my own hair. The main reason I wanted to get a high quality blow dryer was because I feel as if blow dried hair looks a bit more natural compared to using an iron. Irons of course can still be used to help style your hair but a blow dryer can definitely do the trick as well. This dry bar one has a number of good reviews online and it really does dry your hair faster while protecting your hair at the same time. I'm still trying it out but so far so good. Already, I love the fact that I don't have to wake up super early in this frigid weather just to go to a hair salon to get my hair done. It saves me so much energy, time and money. I’ll have to show you guys my blow dry results in future posts after a little more practice, hehe.

Today's outfit is a summery Sorbet Okay dress from ModCloth. It looks fantastic with the dyed colors. When I first saw it, the dress really reminded me of some of my most enjoyable summer days. Even, though, summer is long gone now, I wanted to show you an example of how to wear this summer dress in the fall season. I styled it differently and added more accessories like this belt and pair of gloves to make it more appropriate for the season. I completed this look with my white coat and Christian Louboutin heels. I refuse to put away my summer dresses because I truly believe that some can be worn throughout the year. You just need to style it differently. Do you guys agree? Thank you so much for reading and for all your kind words. XOXO

TARTAN AND YS

Happy Tuesday, loves! How was your weekend and how's your week going so far? I went to a good friend’s wedding over the weekend. Yes, I know it seems as if I’m always talking about attending weddings. It’s actually the fourth one we’ve attended this year. I’m so glad to have witnessed a very special moment for the couple and shared in their joyous day with so many close friends. It was a traditional Korean wedding that was dream like. The bride had an amazing and breath-taking gown paired with the perfect hair and makeup. Best wishes to the newlyweds.

If you guys follow me on Facebook and Instagram, you’ve probably already seen some pictures about the Tartan trend. Many brands have started using Tartan for this season such as Karl Lagerfeld and McQ Alexander Mcqueen. The Tartan pattern really catches my eye. When I saw this matchy matchy Tartan top and pants at Topshop, I knew it was for me. It's casual yet still super cute.

You can totally wear it with heels or boots. Instead, I paired it with a pair of Yosi Samra Ariel Croco black loafers. The loafers are well made and I feel incredibly comfy in them. Yosi has a selection of other foldable flats. I find them quite convenient since you can carry them almost anywhere by putting them in a clutch when you are out in your heels. It’s always tough to balance looking sexy vs. being comfy. These types of loafers can sometimes be lifesavers. Enjoy your week and thank you so much for reading! XOXO
