FW2014 NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

Loves, this is the outfit I wore last Saturday to a few NYFW events. It's another example of how a red coat really is a winter essential for your wardrobe. Red isn’t the only color that works for a winter coat because I’ve seen some amazing pastel, pink and light blue coats that are super cute and are totally in trend right now. But I just love red so much and another important consideration is that you’re unique when you wear it during the winter months as opposed to dark colors such as black and navy blue. My red coat really brightens up a gloomy day for me here in New York City.

Today I want to say Happy Valentine's to my amazing boyfriend, Mr. SF, I'm so happy to have him in my life :) Last but not least, I’m wishing all of you a Happy Valentine's Day with your significant other :) Thank you for your support as always. XOXO

MY WANG WISHLIST

Pic via Style.com

Time flies by so fast and the Fall & Winter 2014 NYFW is already coming to an end. Even, though, I didn't get a chance to go to as many shows as last fashion week because of work, I still got the opportunity to check out all the runway photos from my favorite designers. Of course, there are so many amazing looks. But even after scouring all the shows, I still have to say that Alexander Wang’s collection stands out most vividly to me. The color, structure and material were just so insane and cool at the same time. Looking at his coats and boots, I wish they were available right now because they are definitely essentials to survive here in New York City during this brutal winter. I now have this crazy urge to just own as many Wang items as possible. I already can’t wait for his designs to hit the market this coming fall. And so I’ve made myself a Wang wish list.

VALENTINE'S DAY

Happy Monday, my loves! Did you guys pick up anything from the Peter Pilotto for Target collection? :)

I'm a big fan of anything lacy when it comes to a romantic night out or a date night. Valentine's Day is right around the corner and the last couple of outfits I’ve posted like Double Take and The Color of Love could be worn later this week. Another great idea for Valentine’s Day is this corset-style V-neck and lace trim dress. In any case, I hope you find something you love to wear for Valentine's Day to celebrate with your special someone or the girls for a night out on the town:)

LUNAR NEW YEAR

How could I not wear red for Lunar New Year? Red has always been the color I’ve identified with this holiday. The holiday is a great time to celebrate with family. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to go back to Shanghai to spend Lunar New Year with my family for so many years. I truly miss the festivities, quality time with family and friends, and of course the food. This past weekend, I celebrated in Washington D.C. wearing my red coat around and eating some delicious Chinese food, which always puts a smile on my face. A red coat is a must-have for the winter if it’s for the holidays or the Lunar New Year. As for the neon pumps, it can always add some color and pop to your outfit :)

As it continues to snow here in the city, New York Fashion Week quickly approaches. Time flies since it feels as if I just went to NYFW just a little bit ago. I’m arranging my schedule right now and am trying to figure out my outfits for NYFW. Similar to what I did last year, I’ll definitely try my best to update you guys on NYFW trends and looks. Are you guys ready to follow it with me?
