This is my current go to date night look and I wore it on a date night with Mr. SF last week. I was in the mood for something romantic and sexy. This LuLu's backless peplum top is a great candidate for date nights. I love the light peach color and the peplum details are really pretty for a night out. Btw, loves! The best bra to go with this kind of backless top is Nubra or the self adhesive pasties. You know you will need a Nubra for different backless tops or dresses. You can't go wrong with a white lace skirt and wedges. Wearing it with white jeans is also a great idea too.
A bag with a pop of color is totally in trend right now and they have been on my radar, which is why I've bought more bags with pops of color lately. They highlight your outfit, plus it really doesn't hurt to add more colors to make spring and summer more fun. My Kate Spade bag unfortunately is sold out, but if you are looking for something in a similar color, I think this one and this one are super cute :P
TGIF, loves! What are you wearing for tonight's date night or night out? Wishing you a wonderful weekend and I will talk to you girls real soon :) XO
Last year, I showed you girls a few culottes looks with crop tops. Today, I'm wearing it with a striped shirt. You can't go wrong with a casual culottes look, comfy and still looking chic! Compared to last year's culottes, this year these new culottes definitely have more variety in texture and patterns like lace or pleated culottes. I like these small cutout details in these culottes and they are currently on sale for $42. Stock is low right now and going fast. I found another one on sale for $72. This floral lace one is so pretty too.
Have a great Monday, loves! Don't forget that today is the last day of the Tory Burch Sale :) XO
Playing with colors in today's outfit by using bag and shoe colors to match different colors of the outfit. I just can't get enough of plaid shirts in my closet. They are so chic and easy to style! I picked a few other plaid shirts in different colors if you girls want to play with colors and make this spring a little more fun. :P
The best sale this weekend is the Tory Burch spring event sale with code SPRING. Get 20% off when you spend $250, get 25% off when you spend $500 and get 30% off when you spend $750. Bag:Chanel (more affordable similar style here currently 30% off with code FRNFAM)
I wore this cape dress to a friend's anniversary party with Mr. SF this past weekend. This cape dress is perfect for this kind of casual night out because it's pretty, flowy and you can eat as much as you want :) For a simple dress, accessories are key like this Chanel pin and a pretty and sophisticated Rachel Double Ring from Kendra Scott. I'm so obsessed with the iridescent drusy and the white iridescent opaque glass of the ring. I have to show you girls this outfit because the cape dress is currently ON SALE for $36! You know you won't find a better deal than this, especially if you check out these other cape dresses: thisthis and this. They all look very similar, but this one has the best price. If you are in the market for a cape dress, I definitely recommend this one to you girls :)
New stripe top and I'm so obsessed with it. I can't get enough of stripes. Wearing it with a denim jacket and ripped jeans are my go to look this spring. Some of you commented on my Instagram and Facebook page that this pair of sandals looks really high and that you may not have the confidence to walk in them. This made me want to share some tips on how to wear high heels.
-Heel type.
The heels that have more cover, an ankle strap or thicker heels are easier than stilettos and thin heels.Wedges and platform heels are also easier. Plus platform heels are back this season, which are indeed a great option. With this pair I'm wearing, the heel is 5.75 inches in total height and the platform is 1.5 inches. So the absolute height is about 4.25 inches. It's much easier to walk in compared to a lot of high heels. I love how they look and how they elongate my legs :P
-Find the right size.
When I'm shopping online, I always look at the description of the shoes before I order. Lots of online retailers have information like true to size or fit smaller in the product detail. You need to find the right size for you.
-Use anti-blister products.
I'm currently using this Julep Doublesteps foot treatment and friction stick. I put it on my feet on the areas where I easily get blisters before I put on my heels. This shea butter treatment is infused with vitamin E and chili pepper oil to stimulate circulation. It also creates a barrier between your feet and shoes to reduce friction and stomp out blisters.
These gels and silicon are really soft for your feet. They help shift the weight and alleviate heel pain.
-Walk in them correctly.
Walk in them from heel to toe. Having good posture helps too. Take small steps. Be confident :)
-Take Breaks.
Try to sit if you need to get off your feet for a little bit. Practice does make perfect, but don't wear heels everyday. Your feet need a break. After wearing heels for a few days, you can switch to other awesome flat shoe options out there like Birkenstocks :P
-Bring foldable flats.
Some heels are really high and tough to walk too long in, but they are so pretty. If you know you will be in these types of heels for long hours, you can always bring foldable flats with you. I have a few pairs of Yosi Smara ones, they are tiny after folding and fit in small bags.
-Be good to our feet.
At the end of the day, after showering, I always put on lotions and creams and that includes putting them on my feet. Massage them for a while as it's good for your feet. This shea butter foot cream is really good. Or get a foot massage and a bubble bath, which are great for our feet.
I hope these tips are really informative and helpful for you to rock your heels. Happy Thursday, loves! Have a great day :) XO
A pair of Birkenstock really isn’t new and I've been asking myself the same question over and over if I should get a pair every year ever since they came back in trend. This year I finally put my hands on it. Why now?
-They are super comfy. It's really good for my feet to get some rest after walking in heels for long hours. I did some research and found out that the firm support from Birkenstock is good for our feet and really is the kind of support your feet need as opposed to shoes that provide you soft or cushiony support.
-They are casual and chic. They probably won’t win best looking shoe accolades, but they still make your outfit look chic instantly. If you are looking for something casual to wear while still looking great on the weekend or anytime off-duty, they are indeed one of the best choices.
-They are so versatile. I can think about wearing them with shorts, a mini-skirt, a flowy maxi, boyfriend jeans, wide-leg pants or cropped and ripped jeans like what I wore in today's outfit.
-They have one of the best price versus quality ratios. Last year Givenchy had this pair of floral slipper sandals and Rachel Zoe had this pair of metallic sandals. Berks retail price is way more affordable and before I made this purchase, I read lots of online reviews and it seems as if a lot of people are happy with them.
-They are not going away anytime soon. I saw quite a few pairs of new arrival sandals this season. None of them look exactly like the Berks since they are all slipper sandals in similar styles. I don't think Berks are going away anytime soon. Ok, by the time they go out of trend, you can save them to pass them on to your future generations like how they came back in trend this time, hahahaha.
-They can be worn almost all year long. Except on those really cold winter days, you can wear a pair of grey socks with Birkenstock even in the winter. That's why they are worth every penny you spend.
So this year I said to myself, why not! I got this white Birkenstock pair. There is another pair in a really similar style in white and it's about $40 cheaper. You can check the pair out, plus you can get them for $15 off using code SPRING15 when you spend $100. To make full use of the sale, my ripped jeans and the sleeveless trench are all included in this sale. You can get a max $50 off with code SPRING50 when you spend $200. This sale is just too good to pass up on, so I picked a few other things for you girls below.
Back to the topic, what do you girls think of Birkenstock? Do you already have one or even a few pairs or are you thinking about finally getting one pair this season? :P
New dress I got for spring with pretty pastel colors, a mesh skirt and cutout details. How pretty is this airwave skirt! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I wore it last weekend for a date night already. If the weather is good, I plan to wear this to my Easter Brunch as well. If you girls are looking for a dress for Easter, maybe not for church, but for hanging out with friends, it'd be perfect. Throw some more colors together like neon, pastel or even some contrasting colors for a fun look.
Did you guys get anything from the Bloomingdale's Friends & Family sale? You can use code FRIENDS to get 25% off on your favorite items. Sale ends on Sunday. I picked a few stylish bags at awesome prices for you girls. This Kate Spade reminds me of my Celine Edge a lot, similar style but at a way more affordable price. Does this Michael Kors bag remind you of another Celine? :P Check out the rest of my picks below! Thank you so much for reading. Have a wonderful, Thursday! XO
