SHALL WE SASA RITZ CARLTON SHANGHAI WEDDING

"Thank you for waking up at 6am to go to Trocadero with me while we were on vacation just to get the perfect picture under the Eiffel Tower; Thank you for shooting in 10F weather with your frozen hands; Thank you for building a dream with me; Thank you for always being so patient and generous; I promise to love you, respect you, support you and give you the best of myself..."

Despite the stress to plan an international destination wedding and a not so helpful wedding planner who tried to rip us off on every single detail, I'm so happy that we still had an awesome wedding with all the close friends and family who flew all the way from all over the world to Shanghai. That meant so much to me.

These girls mean the world to me and I've met each one at a unique point in my life as early as my university days. My Maid of Honor even used up all her vacation days for the year and flew into Shanghai from New York for just the weekend! I miss them so so much especially since moving out to SF.

I felt as if there is no better bridal gift than GiGi New York's personalized clutch with their initials monogramed on it with their fav colors.

I picked the TFNC dress for them because this dress fits and is flattering for every different body type.

If you guys are considering an international wedding in Shanghai, the Ritz Carlton indeed has the best view. After checking out a few other hotels in Shanghai, I knew I wanted to be married at this venue after we visited for the very first time.

My parents, especially my dad, helped so much with my wedding planning. I felt so loved and so lucky to be their daughter. Thanks to Teri Jon for making my Mom look so beautiful and elegant on my wedding day. The dress suits her perfectly.

PRE-WEDDING PHOTOS IN ASIA AND WEDDING DRESSES

For some of you who have read my blog for some time know that Mr. SF is low key and a little more private. I have never shared any of his photos on my blog. But hey, I think now is the right time and right opportunity:P

While Mr. SF and I were in Asia, we took these Korean Style pre-wedding photos because I always wanted to try out the Korean makeup, hair and overall style. I thought it would also be a great opportunity for me to figure out what style of wedding gown I would want to wear on my big day, since I was having a hard time deciding between A-line and fit&flare.

I had a Korean makeup artist, a translator and an assistant helping me throughout this photo shoot. We ended up doing five different looks and took about 12 hours that day. My assistant brought me a delicious beef noodle soup for lunch and coffee throughout the day to fuel me up.

Korean makeup is normally light and makes your face look round and your whole complexion even sweeter. This is definitely not my style, but I'm happy to have experienced it all with Mr. SF. When Mr. SF first saw me after I did the Korean makeup, he couldn't even recognize me, haha. When it comes to skin care and makeup, Koreans are so far advanced vs. anywhere else in the whole world. Alright, let me share some of the looks with you guys.

Mr. SF in a blue suit holding the cutest camera and I'm wearing a retro and high neckline dress. This cute look pretty much sums up our relationship, haha. As you can imagine, most of my blog photos are taken by Mr. SF. Some of you that have asked about our camera, we are using this Canon camera and this lens

I have to admit I love fit&flare a lot. The dress itself is not too heavy and also the beading details make the dress even prettier. I love the Ultra feminine silhouette. I didn't really like my up-do that much, so I won't do that on my wedding day. I know that the up-do is probably the most classy and elegant hair style, but I realized that I have to stay true to myself and feel the my best on the big day. If you are the bride, you should wear what you love because you know yourself the best!

This dress is from Vera Wang.

This last dress is more A-line and has beautiful details.

After this photo shoot, I definitely know what I want and what I don't want for my hair style, makeup and most importantly wedding gown. During my last trip to Shanghai, I was able to find a make up artist that does the exact look I want, which looks very me. Now I just have to finalize my hair accessory details.

What do you guys think of our Korean style pre-wedding photos? Would you like to experience this in Asia, haha? What's your favorite style? A-line? Fit&Flare? Ball-gown?

One more month until our big day, I can't wait to show you girls my wedding gown that I finally decided on:P

Brooch: Chanel

If I have never planned any weddings myself, I would not appreciate every wedding and every single detail so much like I do now. Mr.SF and I went to New York for our friend's wedding this past weekend. I was so touched by this couple's cute vows and their dances. Everyone had so much fun and maybe a little bit too much fun, haha.

When I first saw this black and white dress with the bow in the back, I knew it would be the perfect dress for wedding guest. Classy front with a cute twist in the back. I'm in love! It runs true to size. It also comes in pink.

Don't forget the Christian Louboutin Sale I mentioned to you girls yesterday, the 10% off code APP10 still works. CLs are so classic and you will be able to wear them forever! You just can't go wrong with these investments and they never goes out of style! So I bought myself another pair. Can you guess which one? :P

WEDDING INVITES

Anyone who has gone through the process of preparing a wedding knows that it’s a stressful process. Wedding invitations are definitely a big part of the preparation process. I’d really like to share my experience with you girls.

Mr. SF and I used Minted for our wedding invitations and wedding website. A great way to start is to order a sample kit from Minted, so you can get a feel of different types of paper, colors and fonts etc. I love the foil pressed paper and the letter pressed paper because they feel super nice. I also love classic and simple designs, so we ended up using the champagne style in foil pressed luxe museum board. The museum board is the thickest paper and I love how it feels. The style also matches our wedding theme and color.

There are so many designs that are available on Minted and I’m sure you can find something you love. If you want your RSVP cards, thank you cards and wedding website to be all in the same design, you can check matching programs etc, matching website etc when you pick the design and then custom it to your taste.

Another nice feature is that Minted has a really easy to manage address book where you can add or change information any time you want. All the addresses are printed automatically on the envelope so you don’t have to hand write anything. It’s so nice to have because in the future, if we order any Holiday cards, we can just use the same address book and all the envelopes can be automatically printed.

If you are looking for wedding décor and table numbers etc, Minted also has a ton of nice options available.

Our wedding invitations turned out great and I’m really happy with them. Hope you found this informative and helpful for you girls! :) XX
