MONOCHROME CHECKER

I love revisiting the checker pattern with my new checker blazer. Do you guys remember the Grid on Grid look and the Checkmate look? The checker skirt, checker blazer and checker pants are all to die for. Oh, and don't forget the checker slip-ons from my previous outfit on Wednesday. I think checkers in different types of scale and materials are still having a moment right now. My love toward the design really drastically picked up after the Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 ready-to-wear runway. I still remember those checkers. Checker stands out, is so easy to spot and never gets boring. If you're looking for something to make an impression, I totally recommend going for it. DARE TO BE CASUAL

I don't remember when the line between sportswear and ready-to-wear was as blurred as it is today. Athletic wear for outside the gym has never been as stylish as it's been nowadays. Sneakers, slip-ons and Birkenstocks are everywhere. Along with all of this, my style is evolving as well. I would have never worn such a dressy piece, this beaded skirt, with slip-ons before and would have opted for with a pair of stilettos instead. This pair of slip-ons I've had for a while now and have only worn it with more casual items like denim shorts or track pants. I've wanted for sometime now to create a look with a dressy feminine beaded skirt and sporty casual slip-ons. Experimenting with this look made me so excited and only furthered my passion for look that mix dressy and casual pieces. Do you feel the same?

FALL INTO ME

I've been craving a pair of midi length rolled up denim shorts for a while now. These shorts give me a more boyish but yet effortless chic look. I found a few of them that are pretty awesome like this one and this one. End of the summer sales make these prices irresistible. I can totally see myself wearing them into the fall season. I wore these shorts with a loose top to create my favorite silhouette in order to make my waist look slimmer. This fall into me sweater has a really cute high low hem and material that breathes, which makes it really comfy to wear. The outfit is one of my favorite looks for the end of the summer:)

 I've been living in pencil skirts lately. Why have I been so in love with them? Why not is what I think:)

-It accentuates your body's curves

-Covers up your thighs

-Gives you that ultra-feminine look

-Is both work and after-work appropriate

The pale blue lace pencil skirt I wore in this outfit also has a high waist, which makes my body proportion look better. I wore it with a blazer to add a layer for these recent breezy mornings and nights in NYC.

COLD SHOULDER PART TWO

Do you guys buy the same item in different colors sometimes when it's too hard to choose among the colors or you just simply love them all? Isn't awesome to have the same beloved item in a rainbow of colors? Haha, this was exactly what happened when I saw this off shoulder top. Do you guys remember the same top in lime that I wore with a pair of J Brand jeans? Lime gives that pop in the summer, but white is so pretty and easy to match with almost everything. It was really tough for me to give up one of them so I bought the white one as well. In this outfit I'm wearing it with a pencil skirt. A versatile piece that can easily go with so many different items to create a different silhouette and style.

A lady like look definitely needs some feminine and trendy accessories to go with it. I love wearing rings and having a ring party on my hand. It makes the whole look more sophisticated. Sometimes I feel a bit naked when I"m not wearing any accessories. It's a very important part of my daily routine. These rings are from Anarchy Street. VALENTINE'S DAY: QI XI

Every year the 7th day of the 7th month in the Chinese lunar calendar is Chinese Valentine's day aka Qi Xi. It was August 2nd this year and this was the outfit I wore for Qi Xi. Mr. SF and I don't really celebrate Qi Xi as much as February 14th, but we still spend time together and grab some yummy food that we both enjoy. We treat that day a little more casually than Feb14th. To find something to wear for Qi Xi, I was thinking I wanted to look for something lacey but not so formal. It should be romantic but fun. When I saw this romper from Windsor, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. I really adore the back, the crochet strap and the lace overlay of the romper. I wore it during the day and at night. I'm thinking about wearing it out to a rooftop happy hour with friends this week. I can't wait:)
