Happy Wednesday, girls! I'm in a great mood and full of energy today, how about you? :) There are so many things that make me feel my best everyday. For example, drinking a lot of water and tea, exercise, a little pampering like a mani pedi, wearing shoes I'm in love with, giving out compliments to others, taking a bubble bath at home with scented candles or just taking a deep breath while on a brisk walk through the streets of Manhattan. They all make me feel good inside and out. Among all of these examples, here are my two favorites.
-Drinking Tea
I started drinking tea with my mom growing up. I mainly drank green tea because honestly it tastes the best to me and has the highest antioxidants while also providing benefits to your skin. Tea keeps my body hydrated, boosts my immune system and helps to keep me fit as well by stimulating my metabolism. Tea is especially good after I've had some oily food or when I'm feeling a little bit under the weather. I love hot tea because it helps keep my body warm on cold winter nights or when the A/C is blasting way too high in the office during the summer months. I have an electric hot water kettle at home, so I have hot water available 24x7 just so that I can make tea anytime I want. Tea is definitely an essential, one of the most important parts of my daily routine.
-Wearing Neon Pumps
Every morning I wake up and decide what to wear, pick something I like that will put a smile on my face. I'm sure you guys do the same. Numerous studies have shown that bright colors tend to make people much happier. If you guys have been following me for a while, you must have seen these neon pumps time and again because I wear them so often, haha. My love toward these neon pumps has never wavered over the years. If anything, I love them even more. Without a doubt they are a part of my wardrobe essentials. If you wear something simple or with neutral colors, the pop color on your heels will make your entire outfit stand out. Especially now during the summer, when I step outside in these bright neon pumps, I instantly feel more confident.
Admittedly, tea and neon pumps may not be the first things that come to mind to start your day, but they sure as hell invigorate my day. They make me feel sensational.
